 August 2008 update:

Congratulations to Moon for being named Elite Doe AGAIN!  She is a beautiful girl and certainly deserves it.  Moon is adjusting well to free range ranch life, milking well, and looking good.  She is much more adventurous than our Nubians - challenging the cattle, checking out the pigs, and even letting the guardian dogs know when they get too close.  She is sort of a real Take Charge kind of gal and we like her a lot.

Spring 2008 update:

Moon adds a new look to the goats at Black Mesa.  She and her buddy, Lutzi, are here as our "skim milk" goats.  Since our Nubians give milk almost rich enough to qualify as half-and-half, we have had to switch to a lower fat milk for our personal consumption.  We refuse to drink any milk except our own sweet, raw, healthy goats' milk so Moon and her buddy are here to help us out.  Thanks to Sandy VanEcho of Sir Echo Farms for letting these girls come to Black Mesa Ranch.
