Opal started losing weight last year so we let her have this year off to regain her condition. She looks great now and we look forward to her starting back to work again next year.
I knew she could do it and she did!!! Opal has scored as Excellent on her Linear Appriasal this year! I've always known she was a beauty. She has matured very nicely and is very productive. She is also easy going and friendly.
Of course, when she earned her score of Excellent Opal shared my glass of Champagne. OK, she didn't really share, she chugged the whole thing. She deserved it.
We had a very hard linear appraisal this year. But Opal really wowed the appraiser and got a very nice score. She has really matured well and is milking great. However, not only does Opal still want my wine, she likes my lemonade as well.
Opal continues to be both productive and stylish. She is a very friendly doe and really enjoys her job. Thankfully, she has finally given up expecting to share my evening glass of wine. Well, almost given it up...
Opal is a doll. She is sweet and friendly, loves her job, and is very good at it. She is consistently one of our best milkers - and that takes some doing! She has great udder texture and milks out quickly.
Opal has received her Superior Genetics Title!
Opal has grown very long and elegant. She is an ultra dairy doe and is doing great as a first freshening yearling.
Opal comes to us due to the dispersal of the Ash Creek herd. Originally we were planning on just finding her a new home, but she charmed us with her good looks and interactive attitude. She is a sleek, eye catching young lady and we are happy to have her here.
